Somatic Experiencing
Somatic Experiencing is a body-oriented approach developed by Dr Peter Levine that explores how people experience and respond to stress through physical sensations and internal awareness. When people feel overwhelmed, they may notice changes in bodily sensations, emotions, or patterns of reaction that can influence everyday experiences, relationships and wellbeing.
Somatic Experiencing sessions invite individuals to gently notice and track these sensations and responses in the body, allowing experiences to unfold at a comfortable pace. This process may support greater awareness of how the body responds to stress and activation.
Somatic Experiencing can help individuals:

Notice early signs of stress or overwhelm in the body

Develop greater awareness of emotional and physical responses in challenging situations

Feel more grounded and present in everyday activities

Experience greater sense of ease or calm

Respond to life's stress with greater flexibility rather than automatic reactions

Our therapeutic support groups offer a safe & welcoming space to share experiences and connect with others facing similar challenges. Guided by trained facilitators, participants receive emotional support, build a sense of community, and encourage one another through times of difficulty.
